Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Guwahati – Cherrapunjee
Welcome on arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station. After greetings we will take you to Cherrapunjee, the wettest place in the world. While traveling en-route we see the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani) surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies, spend some time at Umiam Lake & you could do boating and visit to Shillong Peak & Elephanta WaterFall. It is a pleasant drive to see roaring waterfalls leaping into deep gorges, including the famed Nohsngithiang Falls. Also visit Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point. Overnight stay in the hotel at Cherrapunjee.
Day 2: Cherrapunjee Excursion
After breakfast, start your journey to visit local sightseeing in Cherrapunjee. You will visit Nohkalikai Falls, Arwah Cave, Rainbow Falls, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Cherrapunji ViewPoint,Thangkharang Park & amazing Eco Park. Overnight stays in the hotel at Cherrapunjee.

Early morning (5 AM) your journey (Optional) to Double Decker Root Bridge, deep in the dense tropical forest of Meghalaya is a must visit destination known for its numerous waterfalls. It’s a 3000 step journey (Trek) down the hill and the trek starts from Tyrna Village (10 Kms from Sohra, Cherrapunjee). The aprox. Time to complete the journey (both ways) is 5-6 Hrs. After returning from double decker Root Bridge, have lunch & then proceed to visit Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Mawsmai Cave, Nohsngithiang Falls&Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama. Overnight stay in the hotel at Cherrapunjee.
Day 3: Cherrapunjee – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shillong
Early this morning, start your road journey to Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong was awarded the prestigious tag of ‘Cleanest Village in Asia’ in 2003. Visit Root Bridge & Bamboo Bridge. After Mawlynnong, you will start your journey to the border town of Dawki, a hidden paradise. The driver will keep getting you closer and closer to the Bangladesh plains which you had first spotted from Mawlynnong Village. Umngot River in Dawki is crystal clear & is considered one the cleanest rivers in India. You can enjoy a boat ride in the river. Later proceed to Shillong, also called ‘Scotland of the East’ (100 km 3 hrs). Upon arrival check-in your hotel & Overnight stay.
Day 4: Shillong to Guwahati Sightseeing & Departure
After breakfast check out from the hotel & visit Lady Hydari Park, Ward’s Lake Museum & Don Bosco Museum After Visiting the Sightseeing then depart to Guwahati Early morning go for Darshan of Kamkhya Temple and back to Hotel and after a wholesome breakfast, start your day tour & Balaji Temple, Umananda Temple & Assam State Zoo. After sightseeing proceed to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your departure. Your arrival at the airport will mark the end of the tour. Tour concludes with everlasting memories of Meghalaya.
