Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Jammu – Katra (Vaishno Devi)
Upon arrival at Jammu airport or railway station, you will be picked up and driven to Katra, the base camp for Vaishno Devi yatra. After checking into your hotel, you can rest or explore the local market.
Day 2: Vaishno Devi Darshan
After an early breakfast, you will start the 14-km trek to the Vaishno Devi shrine. You can hire a pony or a palanquin to make the journey easier. After darshan and offering your prayers, you will return to Katra.
Day 3: Katra – Srinagar – Baltal (Amarnath)
After breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and drive to Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir. On arrival in Srinagar, you will be driven to Baltal, the base camp for Amarnath yatra. After checking into your tented accommodation, you can rest or explore the scenic surroundings.
Day 4: Amarnath Cave Darshan
Early in the morning, you will start the 16-km trek to the Amarnath cave, located at an altitude of 3,888 meters. The trek can be challenging, so it is recommended to carry warm clothing and trekking shoes. After darshan and offering your prayers, you will return to Baltal.
Day 5: Baltal – Srinagar Departure
After breakfast, you will be driven back to Srinagar, where you can explore the local attractions such as Dal Lake, Shalimar Bagh, and Nishat Bagh. Later, you will be transferred to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
